Shoumeng is a senior staff research scientist at Intel Labs China, with a focus on isolation and containerization technologies. Shoumeng is combining security together with safety towards secured safety for autonomous machines including robots, drones and self-driving cars. Shoumeng initiated lightweight and hardware independent Android containerization/virtualization technology 6 years ago at Intel, and later on spent efforts together with Intel BUs enabling innovative usage scenarios that take advantage of this technology. Before that, Shoumeng worked on heterogeneous and parallel system innovations including programming language design, runtime system implementation, and performance optimizations, with impacts to Intel products and industry standard such as OpenCL SVM. Shoumeng got his Ph.D in CS from Northwestern Polytechnic University in 2005 before joining Intel. Shoumeng filed 15+ patents.
